Arita Ware and Kumano Brushes


A new makeup brush has been created, fusing the techniques of Arita ware and Kumano brushes. There are 4 types of patterns in total. Qusavi has prepared the elegant sometsuke and the splendid somenishiki, which are representative patterns of Arita ware. The brushes utilize 100% Sokoho, the highest grade goat hair.

The hair part was produced by Chikuhodo, a globally recognized brush workshop. The brushes utilize 100% Sokoho, the highest grade goat hair, characterized by its moderate stiffness and soft-touch.


The Elegant Arita Ware Coloring the Holder


The holder part was created by Fukusengama, a representative modern Arita ware. The paintings with warmth, carefully drawn by hand, is one of its characteristics.

Sansuiga (landscape painting), a design frequently used compared to others, especially in Ko-Imari Ware, contains a meaning of keeping things with wicked heart and demons away, and thus, removing any misfortune. One can enjoy Sansuiga by rotating the makeup brush.

The twisted crest represents three designs: Cherry blossoms, octopus arabesque, and gauze rhombus. All considered auspicious designs, and the painting represents all of them in one "Kawari-e." The technique of Fukizumi is utilized in places over the painting, producing a feeling alike Ko-Imari ware. A plum-blossom is secretly drawn at the base as well.

"Watsunagi" has traditionally been used as an auspicious painting with the hope of a continuous good match.
