Komiya Shoten, established in 1930, is a professional maker of umbrellas, that manufactures and sells western-style umbrellas in Higashi-Nihonbashi, Tokyo. All works of craftsmen at Komiya Shoten are realized through collaborative activities with their wives.
Production of umbrellas is made possible through manual works, such as cutting out and sewing, completed by two people with a perfect match. Works would indeed represent a marital bond. Video
Although, there might be occasions where customers have to wait for the arrival of the product, as only 4 to 5 umbrellas can be produced per day, please have a try at using the folding umbrella manufactured through Japanese handwork.
