You may put rice in the lower box and use the upper box exclusively for side dishes. If you would like to put rice in the upper box and put a large number of side dishes in the larger lower box, we recommend you purchase the RS, which is composed of an unpainted upper box and a painted lower box. However, the RL, which is composed of a painted upper box and an unpainted lower box, is more commonly used and more popular. As Koban Ireko Ladies is a little larger than the Koban L, it is also recommended for men. It is used by placing the upper box on top of the lower box's cover.
