A towel really like a cloud

"Kumogokochi Towel" is made of top-grade cotton called Xinjiang cotton that is composed of the world's longest fibers and which realizes silk-like softness and gloss.

Technology-wise, the pile and the threaded part that comes out of the towel's surface is set to be 5 mm, which is longer than that of ordinary towels, and weaving is performed with fewer twists compared to ordinary towels.

Kumogokochi Towel made with careful attention to materials and technology is characterized by its cloud-like softness and high water-absorbency.

It is acknowledged by oneself and others to have the best softness among over 100 towel manufacturers in Imabari City, Ehime Prefecture.

Imabari Towel, happy as a giver, happy as a receiver

Imabari City in Ehime Prefecture became the greatest production area for towels in Japan after the war firstly because the city faces toward the Seto Inland Sea, which enabled thriving physical distribution, and secondly because the high-quality natural water gushing out in the rich nature of Shikoku was suitable for towel-making.

However, in recent times, the sale of the towel drastically dropped due to cheap, low-quality towels imported to Japan.

As to spread the value and attraction of Imabari Towel, a brand for Imabari Towel has been established through collaboration between the country and the local region.

There were numerous, strict standards to be cleared in order to be approved as a brand of Imabari Towel, and the process for approval was not so easy.

We highly recommend with confidence the "Kumogokochi Towel," a masterpiece by Maruyama Towel, a brand that overcame stern standards.

I am very happy with my purchases. Thank you for your prompt shipment. The items arrived in good condition. The Maruyama bath towels are soft, fluffy and absorbent. I really enjoy using them. The Hakusan porcelain noodle bowls L shallow in white are beautiful and perfect for serving noodles. I used them to serve my New Year’s Eve soba. And I have placed a repeat order for the L deep bowls and S deep bowls. The Yamaichi triangular onigiri mold is perfect in size. I didn’t realise it is made of hinoki wood when I placed the order. Hinoki wood is my favourite type of wood so this was a good surprise and additional reason to own this onigiri mold. I bought the Yama no Katachi paulownia wood trays to store my matcha tea utensils and tea canisters and they are exactly what I needed. And finally the Sunami Toru Shoten Binkago L is very nice and fits the sake bottle we bring out perfectly. Thank you for everything. I look forward to receiving my next order from Shokunin.

Thank you so much for your wonderful products and service. I love everything I have purchased and it arrived so fast! I appreciate all the craftsmanship and care and tradition that has gone into everything, and it makes me want to buy more. The Oak Village table is my pride and joy and I sit at it to do my journaling. The [Onishi Seisakusho] Fountain Pen Sakura I use every day to draw and write on my Oak Village desk. I visited Japan in October 2022 and have always wanted to take some of it home. The textiles are beautiful, I have been using them to do natural dyeing with weld, cochineal, and madder, and I'm going to use them as covers for bookbinding. The photos you take of your products on your website are gorgeous too. The 'cloud' towels are so soft too and a pleasure to use. I use the rice chests to store my wools as moths can be an issue here in Melbourne. Thank you, I have been pleased with every product.
