Kiya's Uchidashi Frying Pan

Iron has been used since ancient times for everyday tools such as arms, farming tools, construction materials, and ornaments because of its toughness and its ability to be formed into a variety of shapes. Wrought iron is a suitable material for frying pans because of its thin but sturdy properties and its ability to store and transfer heat.

This Uchidashi Frying Pan is formed by striking several thousand times with the skill of a skilled craftsman. The process of hammering produces fine bumps on the surface circle of the iron, making it easier for oil to penetrate. The oval handle and cooking surface are seamlessly integrated into a single piece for easy gripping, making the pan easy to clean.

The ingenious construction throughout fulfills the function of the frying pan and makes it easier to use.

How to Season a Pan
If you heat the oil for a while and then cool the pot on a wet cloth a couple of times, the ingredients will not stick to the pan. Video 1 Video 2
