A handmade product expresses the natural features and the lifestyles of the land. The moment when the selected and collected mountain plants turn into materials of a product, we feel the connection between the mountains and humans.
Sakichil delivers the techniques inherited by the predecessors to the young generations and to the people living outside of the local land. The name "Sakichil" is an abbreviation of "Sakichi children," associated with Mr. Sakichi Ito who has taught these techniques.
We appreciate it if you could feel the manual techniques handed down through people's everyday lives and the natural materials unique to Japan.
I received my order and have only given me pleasure since then. In my own hands, the value of the craft is felt even more clearly. Also the packaging of the individual tea tins is very nice. I am very happy that I discovered you and your shop. Looking forward to the next order.
